Top 5 Countries In The World That Get The Most Sleep

We often read and hear that every human must sleep for 8 hours a day in order to stay healthy. But, with digitalisation and everything that goes around it, many of us hardly manage to get 6-hours sleep, these days.

But, if you ask my opinion, I would like to get at least 10 hours of sleep every day. All you intelligent people out there would agree that sleeping is the most beautiful part of the day. The feeling of leaving everything behind and just lying on the favourite side of your best is one of themes soothing feelings in the world.

According to a study in the research journal Science, age and gender are also big determining factors in the amount of sleep obtained. They found out that women tend to sleep more than men.

We, in India, often get to hear by our parents that we sleep a lot and are lazy. But, now, you can show them this post and argue that Indian, specially Indian kids are not that bad when it comes to sleeping.

Netherlands is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and now it seems the most peaceful, too. Netherlands scored highest in the rankings, averaging almost 5.5 minutes more than 8 hours of sleep per night.

NEW ZEALAND

New Zealand is one of the best countries to live in. It was in a close second, with 4 minutes more than 8 hours per night

FRANCE

One of the most romantic places in world, France sleep 3.19 minutes more than 8 hours per night.

AUSTRALIA

Australians eek out about 4 more seconds of sleep than Belgians, with 1.34 minutes more than 8 hours.

BELGIUM

Belgium rounds out the top 5 with exactly 1.30 minutes more than 8 hours.

India doesn’t feature on this list but we can tell you that India sleeps less than 8 hours a day.
