Union minister Babul Supriyo attacked in Asansol, blames TMC supporters
Union Minister Babul Supriyo on Wednesday was attacked with brickbats allegedly by a mob at Asansol in West Bengal.
Supriyo’s vehicle was stopped allegedly by Trinamool Congress supporters near Asansol’s BNR More and agitators pelted stones at him. One of the brickbats hit him on the stomach and he suffered minor injuries. Later, the infuriated mob vandalised his vehicle and attacked two other BJP supporters who were accompanying Supriyo.

“They attacked me with brickbats and vandalised my car. This mob comprised of goons from the Trinamool Congress. They were Trinamool Congress leader, Malay Ghatak’s men. Instead of arresting the people who attacked us, police has arrested BJP supporters,” said Supriyo.

The Union Minister even took to Twitter to show his injury marks that he suffered in the brick batting. However, the Trinamool Congress district President V Shivadasan ruled out Supriyo’s claims involving Trinamool Congress supporters in the brick batting.
